Myrtle Beach, S.C.—-The Bishop O’Connell (VA)  Knights easily handled the Phillips Simmons (SC) Iron Horses in a 48-34 win in the John Rhodes Division Championship of the United Bank Holiday Invitational Tournament in Myrtle Beach SC in women’s basketball action Wednesday morning.   Daniya Brown led the effort for the Knights with 14 points while Kylee Kellerman put up 16 for the iron Horses. Camden Wins! 2022 UBHI Champs

Myrtle Beach, S.C.  —  Joyce Edwards had 29 points and 15 rebounds in a dominating performance from start to finish as the Camden (SC) Bulldogs (10-2) won the United Bank Holiday Invitational 48-34  over the Paul VI (VA) Panthers (6-3) Wednesday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.   Edwards, the 6’-3” Junior, was 12 of 16 from the floor and 5 of 6 from the foul line.  Deanna Jeffcoat  was the second leading scorer for Camden with 8 points followed by Braylin Mungo with 5 points, Tateyonia Harris with 3 points, Zyasia Carter with 2 points, and Morgan Champion with 1 point. Riley Hamburger was the leading scorer for the Panthers with 8 points, followed by Sadie Shores with 7 points,  Louis Volker, Brooke Batchelor, and Laura Williams with 6 points each and Anna Kunzwiler with 1 point. The United Bank Holiday Invitational Tournament appreciates all the teams that competed in this years tournament and the fans that came to watch the exciting action.  Please continue to support and follow all these great players and teams throughout this season and beyond.  We guarantee you will see many of them at the next level and beyond.
