Knott County Central (KY) trailed for just 18 seconds in the first half in a 70-53 opening round victory over North Little Rock (AR) at the 2014 Beach Ball Classic at the Myrtle Beach (SC) Convention Center.
Knott County Central (9-0; Hindman, KY), which led 37-28 at halftime, built leads as large as 18 points in the second half to coast to the victory. Cameron Justice, who will be playing collegiately at Vanderbilt, scored a game-high 27 points to pace Knott County. Evan Hall chipped in 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Patriots.
North Little Rock (8-2). the first program from Arkansas to compete at the BBC in the tournament’s 33-year history, was led by Dez Duckworth’s 15 points.
