Saint Francis (GA) advanced to the semifinals of the 2017 CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational with a 69-66 double overtime victory over Northwest Guilford (NC).
TURNING POINT: Saint Francis held the advantage for a majority of the game but neither team could gain much of an advantage in a game that featured seven lead changes and 12 tied scores. In the second overtime session, Mia Moore scored six of her team-high 19 points to help the Knights hold off Northwest Guilford.
SAINT FRANCIS LEADERS: Mia Moore led four Knights in double figure scoring with 9 points and she added seven steals. Arynn Eady posted 16 points and 10 rebounds while Amirah Abdur-Rahim chipped in with 16 points and Eliza Snyder added 14 points and five steals.
NORTHWEST GUILFORD LEADERS: Elizabeth Kitley led all scorers with 24 points and also grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds. Lindsay Gauldin narrowly missed a triple double with 18 points, 10 rebound and eight assists.
RECORDS: Saint Francis 7-2. Northwest Guilford 9-1.
