St. Francis (GA) advanced to the consolation bracket championship game of the 2014 Beach Ball Classic with a 79-51 victory over Scott County (KY) on Tuesday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
St. Francis (12-3; Alpharetta, GA) trailed for only 20 seconds in the early part of the first half and built leads as large as 28 points in cruising to the victory. The Knights were led by Malik Beasley’s 21 points as he connected on 8-of-13 from the field. Kobi Simmons added 18 points for St. Francis while Kaiser Gates chipped in 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
Scott County (5-5; Georgetown, KY) was paced by Clarien Washington’s 12 points and six boards.
