Shelbyville (TN) Central turned a three-point halftime advantage into a 53-31 victory over Fayette County (GA) to advance to the fifth place game of the 2014 CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational.
After trading baskets to open the second half, Shelbyville (8-5) went on a 19-0 run that opened 43-23 advantage with 7:02 to play. Fayette County (5-3; Fayetteville, GA) could not close the gap to less than 17 points the rest of the way.
Romny Felts led a balanced attack for Shelbyville Central with 12 points. To’Nesha Allison and Keleigh Hardy added 11 points each for the Eaglettes. Fayette County was led by Darry Langford’s nine points.
