Shadow Mountain (AZ) cruised to 71-45 victory over Bartow (FL) to advance to the semifinal round of the 35th Annual Beach Ball Classic.
Shadow Mountain (10-2; Phoenix, AZ) trailed briefly in the opening minutes of the game but led 33-18 at halftime and as many as 28 in the second half. The flow of the game was hampered by 43 fouls, two technical fouls and 68 free throw attempts.
Shadow Mountain was led by Bryce Fisher’s 18 points and eight rebounds while teammate JJ Rhymes chipped in 16 points. Michael Bibby, who connected on just 1-of-10 from the field, added eight assists for the Matadors.
Tony Bradley, with his future coach Roy Williams of the University of North Carolina looking on, posted a double-Double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Bartow (6-6).
