North Little Rock (AR) defeated Socastee (SC) 89-50 in a consolation bracket game at the 2014 Beach Ball Classic at the Myrtle Beach (SC) Convention Center.
Socastee (3-10; Myrtle Beach, SC) scored the first two points of the game when T.J. Simmons hit a jumper just 14 seconds into the game. Unfortunately for the Braves, North Little Rock (9-3) scored the next 31 points to take a commanding 31-2 advantage with 5:27 remaining in the first half. The Charging Wildcats went on to lead by as many as 41 points in the second half.
North Little Rock had all 12 players score and all but one played between 13 and 17 minutes. Dylan Morgan came off of the bench to lead the Charging Wildcats with 14 points as he connected on 7-of-10 from the field. NLR forced Socastee into 28 turnovers and scored 41 points off of the Braves miscues.
Simmons led Socastee with 15 points while Tamir Brown added 12 points. Jason Cudd grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and posted five blocked shots for teh Braves.
