Miami (FL) Senior built a double digit less than five minutes into the game and cruised into the semifinal round with a 71-47 victory over Shelbyville (TN) Central at the 2014 CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational.
The taller Miami Senior (11-1) squad, led by 6-5 Baylor signee Beatrice Mompremier, controlled the boards with a commanding 38-18 advantage on points in the paint and a 34-24 advantage on the boards. Momprimier led a balanced Stingaree attack with 15 points. Andrisa Sweeting had 13 points and six assists while Annette Dukes and Armani Paschal added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Romny Felts connected on 7-of-11 shots from the field to lead Shelbyville Central with 16 points.
