MYRTLE BEACH — The Hebron (GA) girls continued their dominating run at the 2025 Beach Ball Classic Holiday Invitational on Saturday night, riding big plays on both ends of the court to a 49-43 semifinal victory over Concord Academy (NC) at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
Hebron improved to 9-0 with the win and punched their ticket to the United Bank Division championship game behind a balanced scoring attack and strong free throw shooting.
Alanna Beckham led the Hawks with 12 points and four assists, knocking down clutch free throws down the stretch. Gabby Minus added 11 points and seven rebounds, while Kobi Barnes contributed eight points and seven boards. Nariah Nelson provided key mid-range buckets and six rebounds in support of the balanced attack. Hebron finished 20-for-24 from the free throw line, a telling edge in a tight contest.
Concord Academy battled throughout, playing with energy on the glass and keeping the game within reach until the final minutes. Jada Powell paced the visitors with 14 points, and Justice Alexander added nine points and six rebounds. Jayla Brower chipped in five points and showed steady defensive pressure, while Taylor Smith and Victorian Collins each contributed four points.
The game featured multiple lead changes and spirited back-and-forth play, but Hebron’s efficiency at the charity stripe and ability to limit second-chance points down the stretch ultimately made the difference. Concord struggled to find consistent offense in the second half, and the Hawks were able to hold on despite Concord’s pressure defensively.
Hebron will now advance to face the winner of the other United Bank Division semifinal in Monday’s title game, while Concord Academy’s 10-6 season closes with a hard-fought effort in Myrtle Beach.
