A’ja Wilson posted a CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational record 24 rebounds and a game-high 30 points to lead Heathwood Hall (Columbia, SC) to an impressive 72-34 ictory over Atlantic (Port Orange, FL).
The game was never in doubt as the Highlanders scored the opening 12 points of the game. Wilson, who also tallied seven blocked shots, had coaches from the University of North Carolina, the University of South Carolina, and the University of Tennessee in attendance to watch the undecided senior.
Gadsen Lefft, who will play at Kennesaw State next year, had 13 points and seven blocks, while Victoria Dickerson added 14 points for Heathwood Hall. The Highlanders outrebounded Atlantic 52-18 and dominated in the paint, outscoring the Sharks 44-14 down low.
Atlantic, playing without its best played in Destiny Woodard, was paced by Kari Scantling’s 15 points.
