Bishop Gorman (NV) scored an easy 84-39 victory over Socastee (SC) to advance to the quarterfinal round of the 2014 Beach Ball Classic at the Myrtle Beach (SC) Convention Center. The Gaels (10-3; Las Vegas, NV) will face Shadow Mountain (AZ) in the quarterfinal round on Monday.
Bishop Gorman, which led by as many as 49 points, had no players play more than 15 minutes as the Gaels played all 14 players dressed for the contest. Chase Jeter, who had signed to play at Duke University, led Bishop Gorman with 16 points. Socastee (3-8; Myrtle Beach, SC) as led by Nijaye Foster’s 12 points as he connected on 4-of-7 from behind teh 3-point arc.
