Moeller (OH) advanced to the fifth place game of the 2013 Beach Ball Classic with an 88-34 victory over Franklin (OH), who was playing without star junior Luke Kennard.
Moeller (7-1) ran out to a double digit lead less than six minutes into the contest and never looked back, building leads as large as 54 points. Kennard, who has been battling a sore knee, sat out the game. Moeller connected on 60.0 percent (33-55) from the field for the game, including 69.2 percent (18-26) in the second half. The Crusaders played 16 players in the contest, with 12 scoring. Adam Gigax’ led Moeller with 13 points.
Franklin (7-2) was paced by Evan Crowe’s 17 points as he connected on 7-of-14 from the field.
