Socastee (7-4), trailing 7-0 with 12:28 remaining in the first half, finally tallied its first basket at the 10:51 mark and then cut the lead to just two points at 7-5 on an old-fashioned three-point play by Dylan Thompson with 9:38 on the clock. Father Henry Carr (22-3) responded with a 10-2 run and went on to lead by as many as 31 points in the second half in route to the win.
Anthony McNish and Girece Kazumba tallied 15 points each for Father Henry Carr. Socastee was paced by Thompson’s 10 points.
