Archbishop Moeller (OH) scored a 59-42 victory over St. Francis (GA) to advance to the fifth place game of the 35th Annual Beach Ball Classic.
Moeller (8-1; Cincinnati, OH) trailed only briefly at the beginning of the first half and led by as many as 26 points midway through the second half. Moeller held St. Francis (8-5; Alpharetta, GA) to just 37.2 percent from the field, including a 25 percent success rate in tghe first half when the Crusaders built a 30-13 halftime advantage. Meanwhile, Moeller connected on 55.3 percent of its shots from the field.
Sam McCracken led the Moeller attack with 15 points while Keegan McDowell and Trey McBride added 12 points each. Wallace Tucker came off of the bench to lead St. Francis with 11 points and five rebounds.
