Lovejoy (GA) captured 3rd place in the 2018 CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational with a 48-42 victory over Southeast Raleigh (NC) at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
TURNING POINT: Southeast Raleigh fought back after trailing by as many as 13 points and pulled to within a point at 35-34 on Anya Poole’s old-fashioned three-point play with 5:11 to play. Lovejoy responed to the run by the Bulldogs with an 11-2 run of it own to take a commanding 46-36 lead with just 46 seconds to play.
LOVEJOY STAT LEADERS: Genesis Bryant led the Wildcats with 12 points, four assists and four steals.
SOUTHEAST RALEIGH STAT LEADERS: Anya Pool paced the Bulldogs with 16 points and nine rebounds while Tamia Davis chipped in with 13 points.
