For the second time in as many years, Imhotep (PA) has defeated Bishop Gorman (NV) in the Beach Ball Classic. The Panthers scored a 53-49 opening round victory this year to follow up on last year’s 72-54 quarterfinal win.
IMHOTEP LEADERS: Jamil Riggins came off of the bench to lead Imhotep with 14 points while Chereef Knox added 12 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers.
BISHOP GORMAN LEADERS: Jamal Bey, who came in averaging over 25 points per game, led the Gaels with 13 points as he struggled from the floor shooting just 4-for-11. Noah Taitz added 12 points for the Gaels..
