Top-ranked Montverde Academy (FL) advanced to the semifinals of the 2017 Beach Ball Classic with a 101-38 victory over Socastee (SC) at the Myrtle Beach (SC) Convention Center.
MONTVERDE LEADERS: RJ Barrett led the Eagles with 23 points but had plenty of help as Montverde placed four players in double figures. Trevin Wade came off of the bench to connect on all eight of his shots from the field, including three from behind the arc, for 19 points. Filip Petrusev added 16 points and Andrew Nembhard added 11 points and 10 assists for Montverde.
SOCASTEE LEADERS: Kenrell Generette led the Braves with 10 points.
