Myrtle Beach, SC – The Beach Ball Classic (BBC) committee is excited to announce the lineup and first-round matchups for the 43rd annual event at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, on December 27-30, 2023. This year’s event will once again showcase some of the top talent from across the country, including Bryson Tucker ‘24, ESPN #20; Texas commit Cam Scott ’24, ESPN #24; Darryn Peterson ’25, ESPN #2; Quincy Wadley ’26, ESPN #16; Amier Ali ‘24, 247Sports.com #60; and Malachi Moreno ’25, 247sports.com #30.
The BBC kicks off December 27 at 3:30 p.m. with Blue Ride (VA) and Uchenna Academy (Canada), followed by Winston Salem (NC) and PHH Prep (AZ) at 5:15 p.m. Great Crossing (KY) takes on Socastee (SC) at 7:00 p.m., and Norcross (GA) closes out the first night against Lexington (SC) at 8:45 p.m.
Round One action will pick back up on day two, December 28 at 3:30 p.m. when 1 of 1 Prep Academy (NC) will take on Canyon International Academy (AZ), followed by North Crowley (TX) vs. St. Peter’s (NY) at 5:15 p.m. Huntington Prep (WV) takes on J. Addison (Canada) at 7:00 p.m., and Bishop O’Connell (VA) takes on Myrtle Beach (SC) at 8:45 p.m.

The United Bank Holiday Invitational (UBHI), held the week before the BBC, will be celebrating its 25th year this year with 32 women’s teams representing 10 different states. The UBHI games will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and the John T. Rhodes Sports Complex on December 20-22, 2023. This year the UBHI will showcase South Carolina’s own and ESPN’s #2 in the country Joyce Edwards! You don’t want to miss any of the action at the UBHI on December 20-22 or the BBC on December 27-30!
