MYRTLE BEACH, SC – In the opening game of the Prep bracket at the 2023 Beach Ball Classic, Blue Ridge Academy from Virginia outplayed Uchenna Academy from Canada with a final score of 65-48. The game, held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, was a display of strategic gameplay and standout performances.
Blue Ridge Academy, holding an 8-1 record, showcased their dominance on the court. Shanon Simango led the charge with an impressive double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 19 rebounds. His presence was a significant factor in Blue Ridge’s victory. Colby White also contributed notably, adding 17 points to the scoreboard.
Kamren Martin and Markus Robinson were key players for Blue Ridge, scoring 7 and 6 points, respectively. Their defensive efforts were evident as well, with Martin making 4 steals and Robinson 5, contributing to Blue Ridge’s 20 points off turnovers.
