Head Coach: Grant Rice
Coach Grant Rice has been the head basketball coach at Bishop Gorman since 2002. He has guided the Gaels to seven Nevada State Championships. Since he took over the program, 40 of his basketball players have received scholarships to play at the college level. He has an overall coaching record of 343-65 in his thirteen years as head coach of the Gaels, including a #7 national ranking in 2010 and top 10 finishes in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Coach Rice grew up in California and played high school basketball at Claremont High School. He played college basketball at UNLV. Basketball is definitely in his blood. His father was his high school coach, and his brother, Dave, is the head coach at UNLV. He and his wife, Brooke, have 3 children – Carli, Blake and Drew.
