TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The Crusaders had an impressive season, going 24-7, and were the first team from the Philadelphia Catholic League to win both the league title and the state title in the same season since 2022. Father Judge High School won its first state championship in 2025, capturing the PIAA Class 6A title. The Crusaders’ first-ever appearance in the PIAA Boys’ Basketball Championship.
The Crusaders rank as the favorite to capture the competitive Philadelphia Catholic League championship once again this season. They return 4 of 5 starters from last season along with a couple newcomers.
It begins with Temple Commit, Derrick Morton-Rivera who is a 2-time PCL selection who might be in line for Player of the Year honors. Along with him is Rocco Westfield, a three-year contributor who shot 43 percent from the 3 point line last season. Max Moshinki has made a name for himself this offseason earning quite a few D-1 offers before picking Iona University. He averaged just 5 points per game last season but is in for a big senior season.
The Crusaders also had some key transfers such as Rezon Harris Jr., from Imhotep Charter, Philadelphia’s top public-school team. Along with him is 7-foot junior Jamal Hamidu from New York.
