Christ the King Advances to Semis

Christ the King (NY) scored a 40-37 victory over Winder Barrow (GA) to advance to the semifinal round of the 2017 CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational.

TURNING POINT:  Christ the King led from the opening tip in a tightly contested game that saw three tied scores and the Royals leading by no more than eight points.  Christ the King controlled the boards with a 36-20 advantage on the glass.

CHRIST THE KING LEADERS:  Kaelynn Satterfield led all scorers with 19 points.  Natalija Marshall posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

WINDER BARROW LEADERS:  Chellia Wason and Latrice Perkins paced Winder Barrow with 12 points each.

RECORDS:  Winder Barrow 8-2.  Christ the King 8-1.

WHAT’S NEXT:  Christ the King advances to the semifinal round to face Wesleyan (GA) while Winder Barrow will face Ferguson (FL), with the winner advancing to the fifth place game.
