Dillard (11-3; Ft. Lauderdale, FL) led wire to wire in its quarterfinal matchup against Bishop O’Connell (7-4; Arlington, FL) in route to a 53-41 victory.
In the opening half, Dillard held the Knights to just 31.3 percent shooting from the field (5-16) and forced them into 13 turnovers. Dillard used its defense to key the offense, scoring 18 points off of turnovers and taking a 31-17 lead at halftime. The Panthers went on to lead by as many as 20 points in the second half.
Dillard was led by Jordan Wright with 22 points while Matt Lewis paced Bishop O’Connell with 13 points and six rebounds.
