Spartanburg’s Jeter Steals Win

Kionna Jeter scored four points in the final 12 seconds of play to propel Spartanburg (SC) to a 35-32 victory over White Knoll (SC) in the 2015 Crescom Bank Holiday Invitational.

Trailing 32-31, Jeter grabbed a rebound and dribbled the length of the court, beating everyone to the basket and laying the ball through the net with 12 seconds to play to grab a 33-32 advantage for the Vikings (6-2). Jeter then stole the inbound pass and layed the ball in with five second remaining to open a three-point cushion. Following a pair of timeouts by White Knoll (3-5; Lexington, SC), Brittany Weeks’ buzzer beating three-point attempt fell short.

Spartanburg was led by Jeter’s 12 points and 10 rebounds. Taia Roberts paced White Knoll with 10 points while teammate Auriel Barnes grabbed a tournament-high 19 rebounds.
