Lexington won a battle of South Carolina schools as the Wildcats scored an 86-56 victory over Myrtle Beach in the consolation bracket of the 31st Anual Beach Ball Classic.
Lexington (8-4; Lexingon, SC) connected on over 70 percent from the field in the opening nine minutes of the first half to take a 26-15 leasd with 7:41 on the clock. Th eWildcats went on to lead 44-28 at halftime and by as many as 35 in the second half.
Sam McDermott led Lexington with 15 points while Myrtle Beach (6-6) was paced by Solomon Cooper's 21 points.
