L.J. Peak scored 21 points after coming off of the bench to lead Gaffney to a 67-56 victory over Rye in a consolation bracket game in the 31st Annual Beach Ball Classic.

Rye (1-5; Rye, NY) led 32-28 at halftime but shot just 34.8 percent from the floor in the second half while Gaffney (7-4; Gaffney, SC) heated up to 50.0 percent from the floor.

Gaffney outscored the Garnets 34-20 in the paint and turned 19 offensive rebounds into a 16-3 margin on second chance points.

Rye's Max Twyman led all scorers with 29 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field.
