Spring Valley (Columbia, SC) moved a step closer to defending its 2010 Crescent Bank Holiday Invitational Championship with a 55-43 semifinal victory over Archbishop Carroll (Radnor, PA).

Spring Valley (9-0) used its size advantage to dominate the scoring in the paint and also the boards.  The Vikings outscored Archbisop Carroll (3-1) 30-10 in the paint and owned a 32-22 advantage on the boards.  Other than the opening three minutes of the contest, Spring Valley led wire to wire.

Xylina McDaniel scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Spring Valley, while Asia Dozier added 14 points.  Shannon Shields paced Archbishop Carroll with 11 points.
