Providence Day (Charlotte, NC) scored a 57-51 victory over Miami (FL) Senior to advance to the title game of the consolation bracket oin the 13th Annual Crescent Bank Holiday Invitational.
The story of the game was an outstanding performance by Providence Day (8-1) at the free throw line as the Chargers hit 17-of-23 from the charity stripe. That betterd the 8-of-16 performance by the Stingarees (10-3).
Tiffany Mitchell, who will play collegiately at the University of South Carolina, scored a game-high 26 points to lead Providnece Day. Amanda Meddoza's 22 points paced Miami Senior.
