Archbishop Carroll (Radnor, PA) put on an impressive show of how to play the game of basketball in a 60-33 victory over Atlantic (Pt. Orange, FL).
The Patriots (3-0) moved the ball like a well oiled machine, set picks all over the court, and bombed away from the 3-point line. Archbishop Carroll, which led 28-20 at halftime, connected on nearly 64% from the field in the second half and stepped up the defensive pressure to earn the bg win and advance into the semifinal round of the 13th Annual Crescent Bank Holiday Invitational.
Sarah Curran paced the Patriots with 16 points, while teammate Rachel Pearson added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Archbishop Carroll tied the tournament record with 10 made 3-point field goals and proved true team play by posting 23 assists on its 24 made baskets.
Atlantic's (8-2) Ronni Williams led all scorers with 18 points and added 11 rebounds.
