Photo provided by Digitalmagicphoto.comDutch Fork (Irmo, SC) dominated the paint and the Miami (FL) Senior Stingarees in a 49-30 win in the opening roiund of the 31st Annual Beach Ball Classic.

Alaina Coates, a 6-4 junior, dominated the paint to lead the Foxes (7-0) as she tied the tournament's single game record with nine blocked shots.  Coates, who also had 22 points and 17 rebounds, posted seven blocks in the first half and kept Miami Senior (9-2) from even looking to drive into the lane in the second half.  Dutch Fork outcsored the Stingarees 38-6 in the paint.

Donnesha Shuler added 17 points and 10 rebounds for Dutch Fork.


Amanda Mendoza and Lizandra Borrell led Miami Senior with eight points each.
