Photo provided by Digitalmagicphoto.comCenter Point (Birmingham, AL) battled from behind late in regulation and took over in overtime for a 71-61 victory over Myrtle Beach (SC).

After leading 29-28 at halftime, Center Point (10-2) found itself down by seven points at 55-48 with just 1:50 remaining in the second half.  Dominique Patrick connected on consecutive 3-point baskets to pull Center Point to within one at 55-54 with 1:15 on the clock.

Myrtle Beach's (6-1) Khadijah Sessions hit one of two free throws with 1:04 to play in the second half to give the Seahawks a two-point advantage.  Gabrielle Holstein tied the game at 56-56 with a pair of free throws with 50 seconds remaining.  Sessions missed on a driving layup to give Center Point the ball and a chance to win in regulation.

Patrick missed a jumper with five seconds remaining and Myrtle Beach's Tanisha Brown failed on a rushed jumper just outside the paint at the buzzer to send the game into the extrra frame.

Center Pointe connected on each of its five shots from the field in overtime and scored the first eight points of the extra session to pull ahead.  The Seahawks managed just one field goal and a free throw in the overtime session.

Keonna Farmer, a University of Alabama signee, tallied 25 points, eight rebounds, eight steals and five assists to lead Center Point.  Patriock added 19 points, while Holston recorded 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Myrtle Beach was led by University of South Carolina signee Sessions' 35 points.  Brown, who has verbally committed to the University of North Carolina, had a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards.
