Photo provided by Digitalmagicphoto.comAtlantic (Pt. Orange, FL) connected on 76.2 percent of its shots from the field in the second half to turn a close game into a 70-48 blowout win over Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA).

In the opening half, Atlantic (8-1) jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the opening 2:37 as Tabitha Thode connected on a 3-pointer and a short jumper during the quick run.  The Sharks built a 15-4 cushion and held the lead before Fayette County (5-3) slowly chipped away at the lead to tie the game at 22-22 with 2:30 remaining in the opening half.

Atlantic responded to losing its lead for the only time in the game six of the game's next seven points and went on to lead 30-25 at the break.

The second half was all Sharks as they connected on 16 of their 21 shots from the field.  Atlantic's defense held Fayette County to just 28.4 percent from the field for the game and forced 19 turnovers.

Destiny Woodard paced Atlantic with 18 points and dished out six assists.  Ronni Williams added 16 points and 12 rebounds while Jessica Tibbetts joined her teammate with another double-double of 11 points and 11 boards.  Williams also blocked seven shots.

Charmayne Jordan came off of the bench to lead the Tigers with 12 points.
